What's new in my life.....
1) Finished my IT-Programming degree from Chippewa Valley Technical College (Eau Claire, WI) last December.
2) Became engaged to my "other half" on Christmas Day 2010.
3) Still looking for a job (which is a royal pain in the butt at the moment).
4) Lots of "banging head against a solid surface" (repeat until potentially knocking myself out)...

I am NEVER using FedEx again...
The reason for the title of this post is that last month I pre-ordered Apple's new OS called "Snow Leopard". According to the company that I ordered snow leopard from it shipped from them on August 31st, and was to be in my hands on September 10th. It is now the September 15th, and it is still not in my hands. This is due to the fact that FedEx has royally screwed the pooch on this one. According to FedEx, my package isn't to be in my hands until September 17th, when the company that I ordered from said September 10th. It has taken almost 2 weeks for FedEx to get the package here. Also according to FedEx the package passed by the destination address with in 30 miles! After this BS from FedEx, I am no longer using them to have my packages shipped to me, I'll keep using UPS from now on (UPS is much better than FedEx, especially their better at the tracking info).

Classes have started again...
Well, the summer has flown fast. Classes started yesterday, which I can say that I am glad. Being in school has it benefits (mostly getting my mind off of work for the most part, thus I am not complaining about work as much). At the current rate that I am taking classes, I'll be done w/ my IT-PA degree may of next year.

Reliability for work: A way to get a head or a way to be taken advantage of....?
One of the reasons that I haven't posted in a while is the fact that during the past couple of months, I have been working a lot. It all started in about sometime mid March, when the "upper echelon" of management were notified that the one of other evening/weekend managers was resigning due to being done with his college degree, his last day at where I work is early/mid May. They had two months to try and find some one as a replacement! They didn't. When the resigning manger left, I got dumped all the hours for the evenings and weekends. Currently for the last month and a half, I have been working 35 to 40+ hours a week, straight! There is another evening/weekend manger but they don't get any hours. They work 10 hours total over the weekend, while I am "forced" to work 18+ hours on the weekends. The reason for 18+ is the fact that I am unable to leave the building for an hour break. I have tried to ask if the "upper echelon" would be able to schedule more evenly. So far I get the notion thrown back in my face, and am still working 35 - 40+ hours a week! I have also not had a weekend off for some time now, I am well beyond the notion of being pisses about it... Some advice would possibly be handy, before...
So I ask: Reliability for work: A way to gat ahead or a way to be taken advantage of?

Hard Drives....
Last night my MacBook's HD said that it was about to fail... Luckily I backed everything up... Today I installed a 500 GB HD into my MacBook. Now I rest easy knowing that no more HD failures... for a long while at least
