Thoughts about tech geek-ism...

There has been one question that has been on my mind for a fair amount of time... Tech geek-ism; is this a gift or a curse?  Let me explain why I am asking this question.  There have been some times where I am explaining something to someone and unconsciously I have switched to technical terminology, and the person that I am describing what ever I explaining gets lost.  So then I have to spend the next few minutes doing some translating from "tech speak" to "regular english".  I ask again, Tech Geek-ism: Gift of Curse?  I'll let you decide...
